Kate Johnson & Co. was born in 2007 after many years of creating jewelry, but this time on a professional level and platform. Since then, designs have evolved and grown. I have sold at private events, craft markets and high end jewelry shops in NYC.
They say necessity is the mother of invention, well that was very true in my case- I desired a deeper happiness, the kind that I had as a kid.
I studied interior design in college and I have been working in the design industry for over 18 years now for some well known fabric and furniture showrooms and decided I wanted to create my own business, so Kate Johnson & Co. was born in late 2007. It started with refinishing furniture, then I found myself designing and installing gardens! I am all about being able to do it all so this is my next phase, Jewelry!
I've continued to work in the design industry but found myself missing the playfulness that crafts provided me as a kid so I started making jewelry again an have never been happier! I stepped it up a notch and have studied crystals and the healing properties they contain. While yoga has been a saving grace for me, these stones have helped me when yoga wasn't enough. Each piece comes with a description of the stones healing properties and instructions on cleansing your jewelry once you receive it.
